How We Work Together

Plain terms. No surprises.

Everything you need to know about working with us, before you sign anything. No fine print, no gotchas.

One flat fee, agreed in writing before work begins

The fee for your application is quoted up front and locked in the engagement letter you sign. You always know the full cost going in.

No retainer, no hourly billing

Ever. The flat fee for the engagement is the only money that changes hands between us.

Pay any way that works for you

Whichever is easiest for your organization. We accept e-transfer and direct deposit, plus all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link through secure Stripe checkout.

The grant is always yours

When a grant is awarded, the funder pays your organization directly. Our fee is invoiced separately for the application work. We never take a cut of the award.

Per-application engagement, no long-term lock-in

Each application is its own engagement. There is no monthly retainer and no multi-year commitment. You choose, application by application, what you want us to write next.

Honest, plain-language agreements

We work with organizations across Canada. Our engagement letter is short, clear, and written so you don't need a lawyer to understand it. If anything ever needs sorting out, we always start with a conversation.

Why we built it this way

Grant funding should be a clear path, not a guessing game on cost.

Most consultants either take a percentage of your grant, or quote a price after the work is done. Both models leave you wondering what you'll actually pay. We quote one flat fee for the application, agreed before any writing begins. You know the full cost going in, you keep every dollar of the grant going out.

What You Can Count On

Our commitments to you.

The grant is yours

Funding is paid directly from the funder to your organization. We never touch your money. Our flat fee is invoiced separately, so every dollar of the award stays with you.

One price, agreed up front

Discovery, research, and the funding match are always free. The flat fee for writing your application is quoted before any work begins, so you know the full cost going in.

We do the work

We write the application, gather supporting documents, and handle funder correspondence. You only weigh in for signatures or quick clarifications.

Honest about fit

If we don't think you have a strong shot at funding, we'll tell you on the first call. We only take on applications we believe have a real chance of being approved.

Common Questions

Frequently asked.

How does the flat-fee pricing work?
Discovery, research, and the funding match are always free. Once we've identified the grants worth pursuing, we quote you a flat fee per application, $850 for a Simple Grant, $1,500 for a Standard Grant, or from $2,500 for a Complex (federal or large) Grant. The price is locked in before any writing begins. You always know the full cost up front, and we never take a percentage of your award.
When do I pay you?
We'll lay out the exact terms in your engagement letter before any work begins. The flat fee is invoiced for the application work itself, separate from the grant outcome, and is due in line with what we agree at signing. No surprises, no mid-stream invoices.
Is there a contract?
Yes, we sign a simple engagement agreement before we begin work on any application. It outlines the program we're applying for, the flat fee, and what each party is responsible for. No long-term lock-in. Each application is its own engagement.
Do you take a percentage of the grant?
Never. Every dollar of the awarded amount is paid by the funder directly to your organization, we don't touch it. Our income is the flat fee we quoted up front; that's the only money that changes hands between us.
Can you guarantee we'll win?
No one can. Funders have their own criteria and budgets. What we can guarantee is that we only take on applications we genuinely believe have a strong chance of winning, that the application will be thorough and professional, and that you'll know our flat fee before you sign anything.
Do you work with organizations outside Alberta?
Yes. We work with nonprofits, charities, and community organizations across Canada. Many of the programs we apply for are federal and available nationwide.
What types of organizations do you take on?
Registered charities, nonprofit societies, sport associations, daycares, Indigenous organizations, and community groups. If you're unsure whether you qualify, the easiest thing is to book a 10-minute discovery call and we'll talk it through together.
